The DeepFeet Team had a great time in Denver, Colorado last month for the AMTA National Convention! We had our portable ashiatsu bars setup to offer demos of this amazing barefoot massage to therapists from all over the country. The deep tissue massage techniques offered were just a sampling of what therapists learn in our massage continuing education workshops.
The keynote speaker for the convention was the one and only Dr. Oz! Our team not only got to meet him, but he also took time out of his busy schedule to pose for a picture in our booth. Ruthie Hardee, founder of Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy, is seen here chatting with Dr. Oz about ashiatsu.
Dr. Oz is a huge proponent of massage therapy and it’s benefits. Sharon Bryant, Ashiatsu Deepfeet Bar therapist and AMTA Alabama delegate, had this to say about the keynote speech:
“I found it entertaining and informative. Dr. Oz was well-prepared with actual research that had been done at the hospital that he works with. The research dealt with post-surgical cardiac pain and massage. The numbers from the research were significant enough that the program instituted massage therapy as part of their integrated therapy of cardiac surgery recovery.”
